Without getting in to details and being crude one of the biggest problems with any bathroom is the smell. So you should never neglect the fragrance of a bathroom. Candles and flowers, as mentioned above, can help with this. You can also pick up some scented oils or an air freshener. Either way a nice smelling bathroom is warm and inviting to guests and makes your home more attractive. You wouldn’t want to go in to someone else’s dirty bathroom. Would you want someone else in yours?
Have Adequate Storage Space
If you have a small bathroom then having the right amount of storage space is a must. Placing baskets and having somewhere to hang towels means that they stay off the floor. You can even buy a chic and unique looking laundry basket to improve the look even more. It also keeps towels from getting too wet as a result of kids messing around in the bath and getting water everywhere. Find some storage options for your bathroom.
Hang Some Art
Okay you shouldn’t hang up a priceless piece of art in the bathroom. What you can do though is put up a little framed print. Having even a small framed postcard would add some charm to your bathroom. Sitting in the bath and looking at a picture of the ocean can really put you in the mood.
Create an Accent Wall
There’s no need to repaint your entire bathroom. All you need to do is focus all your efforts on just one wall. Because the wall has to be the focal point of the bathroom you should choose the wall that is opposite the door. You want this wall to be the first thing that people entering your bathroom see.
Get A shaped Tub
One way that people are making their bathrooms unique these days is with a shaped tub. These tubs come in a number of different shapes and materials. You need to get a tub that you really like because you’ll be stuck there for a long time. Either get one that matches your current bathroom or be prepared to decorate around it.
Buy New Towels
Buying towels is a great choice for adding some color to your bathroom. They come in pretty much any shade you think of and are inexpensive enough to just trade out if you get sick of them. If you need new color then you could just need new towels and you can make this change as many times as you want.
Every room can be changed up without spending too much money. It could really be as simple as buying some colourful towels. If you don’t mind spending a little more then paint one wall or go whole-hog and repaint the whole room.
